TALENT PERFORMING
Coco Karol
Coco (Director, Choreographer, Dancer) is endlessly fascinated by the different modes, means, and mediums of communication and transformation. She has made collaboration with artists and musicians who speak in entirely different and vast artistic vocabularies, the focus of her choreography and performance work. After graduating with a BFA in Dance from Tisch school of the arts she has had the pleasure of getting to work closely with many interesting artists such as the singer Bjork and film collective Encyclopedia Pictura, designer Jennifer Gonzales, sculptor Eve Bailey, architect Marcos Zotes, composer Inhyun Kim with Ear to Mind collective, and magazine Beautiful Decay. Karol is an eager, existing member of Chris Elams Misnomer Dance Theater, where she also wrestles with themes of communication in its varying degrees of choreographic language. www.findingcoco.net

Jose Luis Navarro Jr.
Upon mention of the violin, most would immediately turn their minds to classical music. However, Jose Luis Navarro adds his unique style to the vibrant and often risqué electric violin shows he produces. Incorporating eye-popping, Avant-garde outfits and fierce dance moves, Jose certainly raises his violin performances to the next dimension. He has gone from performing at small night clubs all the way to his solo appearances at The Headdress Ball and the MAC AIDS Fundraisers where he has most certainly left a lasting impression. www.jlnmusic.com

Finnegan
Finnegan (aka Mike Krenner) was classically trained for 10 years by a wonderful teacher before realizing he had to leave all of the rules behind and do his own thing. He strives to make music that tells stories rather than music that tells how much he’s practiced his scales. If you hear one of his songs and you suddenly crave a taco or reminisce about how cool your grandma’s toaster was, he’s doing his job. Finnegan makes melodic, colorful solo fingerstyle guitar music which paints some of the more interesting warm and fuzzy pages out of his lifelong diary so far. It’s time for this music to bear hug the ears of willing and able listeners in the NYC area and beyond. Check out Finnegan and his buffet of other creative outpourings at www.mikekrenner.com

In attendance: The Ambassador to Tuvalu, the Ambassador to Fiji and the Ambassador to the Maldives, among many other dignitaries and pirates.
